We'll be exploring dramatic scenes from plays, working on voice, scene and script analysis, and character building.

You are invited to spend the month working on a scene and laughing till it hurts! Exploring a creative and fulfilling rehearsal process, pacing and energy, building creative characters, understanding the jokes, spontaneity and impulses, finding depth and truth in comedy, vocal play, and connection.

Improvisation
Spend an evening with creator and executive producer DJ Nash. The creator of the Million Little Things will walk you through a zoom callback process. DJ Is someone who loves to help actors, and lead them towards success.
This class entails two nights. The first is working with Jill on prepping to work with DJ. Studying a specific show, prepping to work on your feet in the moment with a director, and finding the benefits and structure of a zoom callback.
Night 2 we'll put it all together as we do our callbacks with DJ!
Proceeds from this class will be donated to suicide prevention charity.

The Joy of the Callback with producer DJ Nash
Week 1: Excellent and Strong self tapes, standing out while telling the story. We'll focus on sharping the technical work
Week 2: On camera comedy: sitcoms, feature film comedy, and 1/2 hr comedies. A focus on: Tone, pace and energy, creative characters, the truth of the character, hitting the jokes, vocal play
Week 3: What challenges you -- let's work on that: face it and figure out how to make it work for you. Perhaps conquer it, but you will find new tools.
Week 4: What are you awesome at -- Let’s nourish that! Our ‘hits’ that keep us booking.

Strong & Creative Tapes with Judy Lee
Work with Jill to create strong self tapes, and be seen and critiqued by award winning Casting Director Judy Lee. You will be seen by Judy in the style that we've all adapted to - self tape!
Week 1: Actors will spend the first day coaching scenes with Jill. Tapes will be sent to Judy who will review them and give notes.
Week 2: The second day will be spent in the room with Jill, where we'll focus on re-taping using Judy's notes as direction. Judy will once again review our tapes and provide feedback.
